ECDC/The African Community Center owns and operates a thrift store near downtown Denver. Safari Seconds is staffed entirely by refugees. The store was started as a response to the need for a "work lab" where adult refugees could get hands-on job training in a newcomer-friendly environment.A recent column in the Denver Post describes a typical day at the store.
